Souvik Sarkar, DDS, BDS, MPH
Dr. Souvik Sarkar attended the A.J. Institute of Dental Sciences in Mangalore, India, where he received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree. While in India, he worked as a dental surgeon for Lab Tech, Inc. Dental Clinic and Prasiddhi Dental Clinic. In 2009, Dr. Sarkar moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where he completed his Master of Public Health degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center.
During his time at UNT, Dr. Sarkar worked in the Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy as an assistant for Rustin Reeves, Ph.D. In 2013, Dr. Sarkar moved to Los Angeles, California, and completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC. After completing dental school in 2015, Dr. Sarkar moved back to Texas, where he worked in the city of Snyder at Snyder Smiles as a general dentist. There, he served both children and adults, helping all patients achieve better smiles.
In 2016, Dr. Sarkar moved to Weatherford, Texas, where he started Main Street Dental. Now, Dr. Sarkar continues to work as a general dentist for children and adults and strives to be an active member of the community. As a dentist, his goal is to provide excellent, comprehensive care to his patients in friendly and caring environment. He strives to educate and encourage his patients to achieve an optimal state of oral health. In short, Dr. Sarkar believes that everyone should have a beautiful, healthy smile that will sparkle forever.
Dr. Sarkar is originally from Kolkata, India, and is fluent in English, Hindi, Gujarati and Bangali. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking and driving. He also enjoys applying is diploma in Fine Arts to his own artwork and paintings.
